The Travel Nanny

FAQ For Nannies

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Every client (families) will be different but the typical age of the children will be under seven years old (or in a stroller). Sometimes the families will also have more than one child. The youngest age will be infants.
As a travel nanny, you are expected to give your entire devotion and full attention to the child/ children throughout the entire time. These duties include, but are not limited to assisting the mother, feeding the child, playing and entertaining the child, diaper changes, pushing the stroller, navigating trains and public transportation and taking photographs for the family. You are the Most Valuable Player and the extra set of hands parents need while traveling with young children.
The hours and schedule may fluctuate daily but generally set everyday. For example, your day will be starting at 8:30 AM at the hotel assisting the kids at breakfast, changing diapers, and helping the kids get ready to start their day. Or you can go back to the hotel with the family to help get the kids ready for bed after a day on the town.
The travel nanny website allows you to input your schedule depending on your availability. Our website matches families according to your availability.
That’s the best thing about our company. You will name your own hourly rate including any transportation fees. We provide payment through Wise, Venmo, or Western Union.
As a travel nanny, you will be the local expert. You will not be expected to travel outside of the country.
Every family is different, but we advise the nanny to adhere to the rules and discipline that the parents set upfront to maintain consistency with parents approaches. Most importantly, it is not the job of the nanny to discipline the children.
The length of each job commitment for each family is different every time. Some of the families will be on holiday for a week, some more or less. The more flexibility you provide on The Travel Nanny app, the more chance we can match you with a family who is traveling. The commitment/days you can work is entirely up to you.
